KH1207JSAds1 Ken Howard, MSW, LCSW – Founder & Executive Director — is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#LCS18290) in California with over 24 years of experience as a therapist, life/business coach, author, and speaker. He is also an expert in men's psychology, both straight and gay. He is a graduate of UCLA (BA) and the USC School of Social Work (MSW), with a concentration in Mental Health and a special subconcentration certificate in psychiatric disorders. He uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as developmental (phases of life), Self-Psychology, and Existential Psychology for the treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADD, and others, and is also a life/business/executive coach, especially for creative professionals in the entertainment industry (writers/actors/designers/producers). He also is on the faculty of the USC School of Social Work, teaching advanced courses in clinical practice. kh - pp - Shanit Arshadnia New Photo 12-07-15 Shanit Arshadnia, MSW, ASW is a registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and a clinical associate employed and supervised by Ken Howard, LCSW.  Shanit earned her Master's in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California, School of Social Work. She specializes in working with the LGBT community and the local Persian community of Los Angeles, of both Muslim and Jewish backgrounds, including individuals, couples, and families, and has a working familiarity with speaking Farsi.  She has expertise in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Therapy, and other evidence-based (proven to work in research) treatment models.

Shanit uses a variety of evidence-based clinical interventions rooted in neuroscience to support clients’ work toward healing from trauma and achieving optimal mental health. She uses a strengths-based approach and believes in a holistic model of mental wellness, integrating mind, body, spirit and community. Shanit offers a sliding scale of fees for eligible clients, according to income and other circumstances.  Weekend appointments are available, especially on Sundays, and limited weekday mornings.
